How are you doing ? For my upcoming exhibition about the afterlife I am publishing a reader / magazine / visual essay which will be handed out for free on the cemetery on the day of the dead.
My main question is: why do people need to believe in something. My point is not to look weather these believes
are true, but what is there meaning and function, what role does it take on practically and how does they symbolize themselves in our contemporary society.
The reader will exists out of photography, text, but also a curated visual essay about artists ( 9 possible answers )
who somehow work with theme’s like: the esoteric, the mysterious, new age, looking for meaning in the beyond. The way they do it, it open, as a believer or a player with the idea.
